Infinix Zero 5G is a great option if you are looking for a phone that looks and performs great. The phone was first announced on the 8th of February 2022 and released almost a month later on the 3rd of March 2022. The device comes at a starting price of about €250 which approximately comes to $272. The phone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Interestingly, the device doesn’t come in a different storage configuration. What it does come with is a dedicated slot. This can house an SD and two Nano-sized SIM cards. As the name suggests, the phone can handle 5G connections in addition to 2G, 3G, and 4G.

Infinix Zero 5G uses the latest UFS 3.1 storage, so that’s a plus. For colors, there are three options, Cosmic Black, Skylight Orange, and Horizon Blue. The phone has a glass front with a plastic back and frame, but the phone is well-built. It’s a good-looking phone, and its back is smooth and glossy. The phone is 6.64 inches tall, 3.01 inches wide, and 0.35 inches thick, and has an average weight of 199 grams. The device has a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 88.1% and a PPI density of 388.

The phone has a decent display quality, but its peak brightness of 500 nits might not be enough on a very sunny day. Infinix Zero 5G has a loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm headphone jack but misses out on stereo speakers. The multimedia experience is equally decent, but it would have been better if the phone had an AMOLED screen and stereo speakers. Infinix has previously provided an AMOLED screen on some of its cheaper phones. Therefore, the lack of it, in this case, is even more disappointing. The MediaTek MT6877 Dimensity 900 5G processor delivers superb performance and is undoubtedly the best part of owning this phone.

The Mali-G68 MC4 is the GPU used on this phone. Software is one department in which the phone might disappoint you. While the device runs Android 11 out-of-the-box and XOS 10, the UI isn’t very user-friendly. In addition, Infinix Zero 5G comes with tons of bloatware. Sensors on this phone include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone’s battery backup is satisfactory, as it should get you over the day on average use. However, at this price, you can find phones that have better battery life. The phone has a 5000 mAh lithium polymer non-removable battery that supports 33W fast charging feature.

Coming to cameras, their overall performance is average, but their performance in bright lighting conditions is worth appreciating. The phone features a triple camera setup on the rear. It has a 48 MP wide-angle camera with PDAF, 13 MP telephoto camera with PDAF and 2x optical zoom, and 2 MP camera. Selfie duties are handled by the 16 MP wide-angle front camera. The gadget’s camera features include Quad-LED flash, HDR, and panorama. Video recording is limited to 4K on Infinix Zero 5G. For charging, the phone uses USB Type-C 2.0. It also supports USB On-The-Go, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS. While the device supports FM Radio, it lacks NFC, which is the opposite of what mid-range phones usually do.
