HTC One X10 is a budget solution, that’s for sure. It’s for users who are willing to spend around $200 to get a smartphone with decent performance. The specs are pretty decent, and in range with a similar Asus Zenfone 4 Max ZC554KL phone. Although it looked extremely thin to us in the picture, it’s not so thin, but still – 8.2mm is still not considered thick. It’s pretty lightweight as well, weighing around 175g, so it fits in your hands comfortably. Where color palette is concerned, the choice isn’t pretty wide. You can choose between black and silver, and that’s the end of it.
But we wouldn’t look at it as a disadvantage, as those are classic colors, loved by many. The screen is quality made and sharp, although not an IPS but Super LCD, which is still great. The diameter is 5.5-inches, which is pretty good for the price. Add to that a full HD resolution, and you’ve got a nice smartphone if you aren’t looking for top-notch performances. Much like HTC U Play, this is a competitive mobile phone in this category. To kick things off, your screen is protected via Corning Gorilla Glass, so you’re safe from scratching and damage.
One of the best features is a camera combination. We’re proud to tell you, you’ll have a pleasant experience taking pictures of your adventures abroad or nature, as you have a 16 MP camera on the back. The standard features are there too, dual-LED flash and autofocus. You can’t expect OIS (optical image stabilization), although if you add a hundred dollars or more, you can get HTC U Ultra, which comes equipped with it. Also – 1080p videos at 30 frames per second are available and ready for you to use. The front camera is just decent, sporting 8 MP, allowing you to take selfies on the go.
Next up – the performance. We have an Octa-core processor based on MediaTek Helio P10 chipset in combination with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. It’s a combination we’ve already seen multiple times before and proven to work great. TO add to that, there’s 3 GB of RAM in the package, which is of decent size for the specs we’ve just told you. The smartphone comes with Android 7.0 (Nougat) right out of the box, which is a nice addition. The battery life will be pretty long, knowing it sports a 4000 mAh of capacity in itself, so you won’t be rushing to find an outlet when out and about.
In the end, we must talk about storage – it’s essential. You get 32 GB of memory along with the phone, but if that doesn’t satisfy your needs – the microSD expansion is possible. With it, you can add up to 256 GB of storage capacity, which is certainly enough for your every desire. All things summed up, with the price of HTC One X10 you’ll be getting quite a bit. Some more expensive phones don’t even have a full HD screen, and the camera is underwhelming as well. This one exceeded our expectations, and with a price tag of $200, it’s worth a try.
