Huawei is well-known for their high-end line up consisting of many great smartphones and sure, Huawei Honor 9 isn’t an exception. Their newest high-end smartphone Huawei Honor 9 boasts a crystal-clear 5.15″ full HD display, with 428 PPI pixel density. On top of that, there are some quite good camera features in the package, but we’ll talk more about them a bit later. What’s important to realize, design-wise, this beauty isn’t the thinnest smartphone on the market. But it’s 7.5mm thin, and fits perfectly in hands, even with a smaller set of those.
So let’s go and see which specs of Huawei Honor 9 really make it shine through. It offers quite a bit of all top-end flagships do, but its newest relative, Honor 7x gives us even more. We’ll have to be honest with you, the design is very attractive and shiny. It’s made of shiny glass that really stands out, and what we liked is certainly the placement of fingerprint sensor. It’s not distracting and hardly reachable like on Samsung Galaxy S8, because it’s placed on the front, just under the screen. The glass is reflective, but not on your face, it’s the kind that makes cool light effects when moved.
You can use both multitasking keys or gestures, and both features of Huawei Honor 9 work very reliably. Depending on your location, you’ll be able to choose different colors. You can decide on Glacier Grey or Sapphire blue, or gold and black, so you can choose the best option that fits you. Overall, it feels premium and not cheap at all, which is a great thing. Along with that, its main selling point is Huawei Honor 9 price. For around $470 you can be an owner of a great smartphone to fit all your needs at quite a lower price than some current flagships like Apple iPhone X.
Not all the specs are close to that one, but this baby comes with a 5.15-inch display like we mentioned already, and it shows a picture of a full HD resolution. All the colors were vivid and no dimming occurred in our analysis. The screen might be a little small by today’s standards, but that’s no problem. In the package, you’ll receive either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, accompanied by either 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. That ensures that whatever your needs of usage might be, they’re fulfilled to the best of their ability.
The main beast underneath is their own Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor in combination with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. It runs most of the games without any stuttering, so you’re safe. In the end, the battery capacity is 3200 mAh, which is just enough for a mobile phone like this. Just don’t use it on full brightness and it will last you a whole day without any problems. When speaking about its camera, we’re talking about a dual-lens 20MP + 12MP camera. It works by taking both black and grey and color images and combining them to export the finished product. We’ve seen insanely good results with it, and we’d recommend getting it if that’s what you’re after.
