KEF Q350 is a beautifully designed pair of speakers that can spread that beautiful sound all around your home. Available in both White and Black colors, it could match the color of your house casually, and fit in nicely. The body looks quite expensive and honestly, amazing. You might be reminded of some other speakers when you see and hear what this one has to offer. But remember those speakers can cost upwards of $1000! Meanwhile, you can pick up this one at your earliest convenience, because the price of KEF Q350 is only about $650. Now let’s continue with some other KEF Q350 specs:
Like we already mentioned, it comes in white and black, but in our testing black looked cooler and way more expensive. The wrap is also ashy-grey, which looks expensive. Now, something that can be a big problem – the placement. We must tell you that the bass of KEF Q350 is placed on the rear. That makes putting them in a corner on up against a wall impossible. A cabinet near your TV or a shelf would be the best. Maybe you can add an extension to anywhere you see fit, and place them there?
Another potential problem – which might make you scratch your head. That is – there are no grills in the package! Although you should be protected against accidents, if you really want them, you’re in luck. The same company sells the magnetic grills for about $20 extra payment. Okay, now the good things. The sound of KEF Q350 sounds way more expensive! It doesn’t alter the treble or boosts the bass over the top. That way music or movies sound natural but with quality. It also preserves the originality of different genres of music you like to listen to. Both acoustics and bass-heavy songs were equally good.
In our analysis, KEF Q350 offered a great level of clarity and detail, but at low volumes, it was a bit of a different story. We’re sad to say it didn’t show that predominance in that case. That still isn’t a reason enough to skip them – the opposite is true. If you’re looking for speakers to fill the whole, big room with sound presence – they’re the one. For best results, look into buying a quality amplifier so it can complement the sound. Like we already mentioned, do not put them on a shaky foundation, choose a sturdy wooden cabinet, shelf or make your own – be creative.
In the end – should you get them? That’s a bit harder to give a definite answer to. Different people like different things. And KEF Q350 is attuned to people with a better sense of music. Now don’t let that disappoint you, even though you’ll have to pay about $650 for all the features KEF Q350 offers. This one can be used casually, so you can enjoy movies and music in your own home theater. Maybe you’d like a pair of cheaper ones? If so, go for the soundbar version called Yamaha YAS-203. Whichever ones you decide on – you won’t go wrong, trust me.
Wow, these speakers are expensive and they are the most expensive speakers i've had but it's worth it. They are so loud that you won't be able to stand close to them at a max volume. The sound quality is great here and i wouldn't change them for anything!!
