Micromax In Note 2 was launched on the 30th of January 2022 and is one of the best phones in its category. Speaking of budget, the phone is priced at around €150 which approximately converts to $170. Surprisingly, the phone only comes in a single configuration of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The phone has a dedicated card slot, which can accommodate an SD card and two Nano-SIM cards. For connections, the device can support 2G, 3G, and 4G. It comes in two color options, Black and Oak, and both look great, in our humble opinion.
The device shines in the design department. At a time when most phones feature a plastic back, Micromax In Note 2 is an exception. It has a glass front and back, both protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The device doesn’t attract fingerprints easily, which is a major upside. Coming to dimensions, the device measures 6.30 by 2.93 by 0.33 inches. The device weighs 205 grams, which is manageable. On the software side of things, the device runs Android 11. The gadget provides a near-stock Android and bloat-free experience, which is highly praiseworthy. On the negative side, there’s no promise for future updates.
Another great thing about this phone is that it has a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen. Micromax In Note 2 device has a screen-to-body ratio of 84% and an impressive PPI (pixels per inch) density of 409. Needless to say, the phone delivers a great multimedia experience. The experience is helped by the presence of a loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The smartphone can go up to 550 nits of brightness, meaning you’ll have no problems using it outdoors. The overall performance delivered by the Mediatek Helio G95 processor is expectedly great.
Mali-G76 MC4 GPU, on the other hand, handles the phone’s gaming experience. As for the sensors. the phone has an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In the communication department, the gadget has dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, USB On-The-Go, and GPS. While you can listen to FM Radio on this phone, there’s no support for NFC. For charging, Micromax In Note 2 uses a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Speaking of charging, the device supports reverse and 30W fast charging. The charging speed is great, as it can go from 0 to 50% of battery juice in just 25 minutes.
The device has a 5000 mAh lithium polymer non-removable battery. If you’re an average user, the phone will give you around 1.5 days of battery backup once completely charged. The phone’s overall camera performance is good, but its performance in low light isn’t. This is often the case with budget mid-range phones. On the back, it has a 48 MP wide-angle, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth sensor camera. The phone’s camera features include Dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, and panorama. For selfies, Micromax In Note 2 features a 16 MP wide-angle camera. When it comes to video recording, both the selfie camera and the rear camera setup can do so in 1080p at 30fps.
