Everything Specs
Released in 2015, Oppo A53 is not the newest smartphone, or it justifies its price of $280. Android 5.1 (Lollipop) is not a welcoming OS here as it’s almost outdated by newer versions of Android. Oh, it isn’t upgradable either! This smartphone is also big, with 5.5″ IPS LCD display, that sports 720x1280p resolution. Thankfully, it’s thin with its 7.4mm thickness, so it feels great in hand. On the hardware side, Oppo A53 sports a Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset, with Octa-core (4×1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU. This CPU showed great results when it comes to basic functions, but Adreno 405 isn’t great for gaming.
When speaking about memory, Oppo A53 isn’t great. Sure, 2 GB is enough for some simple tasks, but for this price, it’s underwhelming. Also, 16 GB of internal storage isn’t something that will make you happy. For this price, Oppo A53 doesn’t live up to its expectations, so suggesting it would be a mistake.

Oppo A53 is a mixed bag for me. It's beautiful, but i don't like its screen which is 5.5" and has 720p resolution. I expected at least 1080p on that size. The 2 GB of RAM is not enough for me, but i can still do some multitasking.
