Oppo Find X5 Lite is one of those few phones that do well in nearly all departments. However, its highlight includes its battery life, display quality, and design. Where the phone could have been better is the sound and camera department. Speaking of cameras, the phone has a triple camera slot on the back. It has a 64 MP wide-angle, 8 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP macro camera. The selfies are handled by the 32 MP wide-angle camera. While the main and selfie camera impresses, the wide-angle and ultrawide camera don’t quite meet the expectations.
Camera features include LED flash, HDR, panorama, and gyro-EIS. Video recording is supported up to 4K@30fps. In the sound department, the phone has a segment rare 3.5 mm headphone jack but misses out on stereo speakers. To make matters worse, the audio quality of the single speaker is average, at best. The overall multimedia experience should still be good thanks to the awesome display quality. Oppo Find X5 Lite has a 6.43 -inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The phone’s screen-to-body ratio is 84.9% while the PPI density is an impressive 409.
Additionally, Oppo Find X5 Lite has support for HDR10+ and can go up to 800 nits of brightness. Therefore, you shouldn’t have any issues using the phone, even while you’re outdoors. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset delivers smooth performance as long as you’re limited to day-to-day tasks. However, if gaming is one of your top interests, it’s better to look elsewhere. Also, you can get rival phones that deliver better overall performance. On the topic, it should be mentioned that the GPU used here is the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. As for the software, the device runs Android 11 from the get-go, with ColorOS 12 on top.
Seeing how the phone was released on the 24th of March 2022, it should have run Android 12 out-of-the-box. The user interface, while fun to interact with, does have bloatware. On the bright side, the device has two and four years of major Android operating system and security updates respectively. Where the phone absolutely excels is in the battery department. Oppo Find X5 Lite has a 4500 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery that gets you around two days, on average use. On top of that, it supports 65W fast charging, which is among its best features. Connectivity options include USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, Hotspot, and NFC.
Possibly, the first thing that will come to your mind when you hold the phone is that it’s slim and lightweight. For reference, the device weighs 173 grams and measures 6.32 by 2.88 by 0.31 inches. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected glass front with a plastic back and frame. The phone has a single variant of 8 GB RAM with 256 GB ROM and comes in Starlight Black and Startrails Blue. Oppo Find X5 Lite supports an SD card, which is uncommon in devices of this segment. It supports two Nano-SIM cards and connections up to 5G, as you would expect. Speaking of segments, the phone is priced at $409.
