Oppo Find X5 Pro is one of those rare phones that perform well in most departments. What might not go in its favor is that it is expensive. Here, it should be mentioned that the phone comes at a starting price of $969. The phone has three variants. The most economical variant has 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage. Pricer variants have 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB and 512 GB of internal storage. It misses out on an SD card slot, but so do most high-end phones. The RAM and memory type used here is LPDDR5 and the latest UFS 3.1 respectively.
Oppo Find X5 Pro can support connections from 2G to 5G. For colors, there are three options, namely Ceramic Black, Ceramic White, and Blue. The Blue one has an eco-leather back, while the others have ceramic ones, just as the name suggests. It has a gorgeous, distinctive look. However, the color of your choice will impact you in more than one way. The ceramic ones weigh 218 grams, while the blue one weighs 195 grams. Coming to the dimensions, the phone measures 163.7 × 73.9 × 8.5 mm. This applies to ceramic variants, while, in comparison, the blue version is thicker at 8.8 mm.
The phone’s build quality is awesome, as you would expect from a high-end phone. It is protected by the top-of-the-line Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and has IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. Its display quality and multimedia experience are just as good. The device has a 6.7-inch FHD+ LTPO2 AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The benefit of having an LTPO2 AMOLED screen is that it helps in power consumption. Its screen-to-body ratio and PPI density are 89.6% and 525 respectively. The phone not only has support for HDR10+ but can also go up to 1300 nits of brightness. Therefore, you will face no issues while using the phone outdoors.
Oppo Find X5 Pro has stereo speakers, but not a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Besides all the usual sensors, the phone has a color spectrum sensor. The Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor delivers top-notch overall performance, which is expected. Adreno 730 GPU looks after the phone’s gaming requirements. The device runs Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 on top. The UI is fun to use, but it does have bloatware. The smart device will get major operating system Android updates for three years and security updates for an additional year.
As far as cameras are concerned, the overall performance is incredible. Low light performance is decent, as well. On the rear, the phone has a 50 MP wide-angle camera with OIS, 13 MP camera with 2x optical zoom, and 50 MP ultrawide camera. The presence of Hasselblad Color Calibration and MariSilicion X NPU only improves their performance. The phone’s camera features include gyro-EIS and HDR. For selfies, Oppo Find X5 Pro has a 32 MP wide-angle camera.
When it comes to video recording, the selfie camera can record in 1080p, while the rear camera setup can do so up to 4K. For communication, the device has dual-band Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C 3.1, and USB On-The-Go. It has NFC but not FM Radio, which is typical for high-end phones. The phone’s battery backup is very good as it should get you over the day on heavy usage. Oppo Find X5 Pro has a 5000 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery. This can support 80W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
