Realme GT Neo 3 is one of those extremely rare phones that perform great in almost every department. Its biggest strengths, however, are its battery life, performance, design, and display quality. The phone was first announced on the 22nd of March and released on the 30th. It comes at a starting price of $355 which is relatively affordable when you look at its specs. The device comes in four storage configurations. For 128 GB of internal storage, you’ll have to choose between 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM. In case you want 256 GB of ROM, your options are 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM.
The RAM and storage type used here is the LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 respectively, both of which are the latest in their categories. The device can accept two Nano-SIM cards, but not an SD card. As for the connections, it can support 5G besides 2G, 3G, and 4G. For colors, you get to choose between Black, Blue, and Silver. One of the most talked-about aspects of owning Realme’s GT series phones has been their look. With the release of Realme GT Neo 3, it’s safe to say that the tradition has continued. Its double stripe glass back design gives the phone a stylish and modern look.
What the back also does quite well is not picking up fingerprints easily. The phone is not just slim, but lightweight as well. For reference, the device measures 6.43 by 2.98 by 0.32 inches and weighs 188 grams. The phone delivers an awesome display quality and multimedia experience. This is evident from the specs themselves. It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone has support for HDR10+, while its screen-to-body ratio and PPI density are 87.5% and 394 respectively.
In the audio department, the phone has high-resolution audio and stereo speakers. It lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack like most high-end phones. The overall performance delivered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 is expectedly smooth. The Mali-G610 MC6 delivers a very good gaming experience as well. Realme GT Neo 3 runs the latest Android 12 and Realme UI 3.0. The camera is one department where performance-centric phones don’t perform well, but that’s not the case here. Its overall camera performance is fabulous.
The phone has a 50 MP wide-angle camera with PDAF and OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro sensor camera on the back. Besides the usual camera features, Realme GT Neo 3 has Dual-LED dual-tone flash and gyro-EIS. The 16 MP wide-angle front camera handles the phone’s selfie duties. The rear camera setup can record videos in 1080p and 4K, while the selfie camera’s recorded videos are limited to the former resolution. The phone supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0. It lacks FM Radio which isn’t a surprise to anyone.
What’s surely a surprise though, is that the phone has two versions. The regular version supports 80W fast charging while the other version supports 150W one. The regular version has a 5000 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery that can go from 0 to 100% of charge in 32 minutes. In comparison, the 150W version has a 4500 mAh battery which can go from 0 to 50% in a mere 5 minutes, which is unparalleled. Both versions of Realme GT Neo 3 should get you around one and a half days of battery backup, which should be more than enough for most users. The phone has all the usual sensors.
