Vivo X70 Pro Plus is among the better high-end phones from Vivo. It has only a few issues, and even those won’t affect the average customer much. One of those issues is the phone’s telephoto camera performance. Yet, the phone’s overall camera performance is highly impressive. It has a 50 MP wide-angle, 8 MP periscope telephoto, 12 MP telephoto, and 48 MP ultrawide camera on the back. The 32 MP wide-angle front camera handles selfies and video communications. Its camera features include Zeiss optics, Zeiss T* lens coating, Pixel Shift, and gyro-EIS. Videographers will especially love this phone as it’s great at video stabilization.
On the topic, it’s worth mentioning here that the phone can record videos up to 8K@30fps. In the design department, Vivo X70 Pro Plus is almost perfect. The reason it isn’t ideal is that the phone is slippery and heavy. To be precise, the phone weighs 212 grams and measures 6.48 by 2.96 by 0.35 inches. On the bright side of things, the phone is well-built and looks premium. It has a glass back, aluminum frame, and Schott Xensation-protected glass front. The phone has IP68 certification for dust/water resistance, and it does an excellent job of resisting fingerprints.
For colors, the options are Black, Blue, and Orange. Coming to sensors, the phone has an under-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and color spectrum. Vivo X70 Pro Plus doesn’t let you down in the battery department, either. This is because the phone’s 4500 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery gets you around 1.5 days, on average use. Similarly, the phone supports 55W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging. It isn’t often that you’ll find a phone which supports such high wireless charging speeds. Connectivity options include USB Type-C 3.1, USB On-The-Go, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, and the extremely rare Infrared Port.
Vivo X70 Pro Plus has an excellent display quality and the same goes for its multimedia experience. It has a 6.78-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its screen-to-body ratio and PPI density are 90.1% and 517 respectively. Many phones suffer when it comes to outdoor visibility. Thankfully, that’s not the case with this phone as it can go up to 1500 nits of brightness. As for the audio, the phone has hi-resolution audio and stereo speakers. The headphone jack, on the other hand, is expectedly absent. It uses Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset and Adreno 660 GPU.
As a result, the phone’s overall performance and gaming performance are top-notch. On the software side, the phone runs Android 11 out of the box with Funtouch OS 12 on top. The gadget lets you down in the sense that it has bloatware. However, you don’t get to see promotional content, which is a plus. Vivo X70 Pro Plus comes in at a starting price of $878 and three RAM/ROM combinations. These are 8 GB/256 GB, 12 GB/256 GB, and 12 GB/512 GB. It doesn’t support an SD card. Therefore, make sure you select the right variant. Unlike an SD card, it has room for two Nano-SIM cards. Connections are supported up to 5G.
