We have a very nice, affordable soundbar and subwoofer combination in front of us. The name of the company is Vizio, and the exact model is called Vizio SB3621. In case you haven’t heard the name, do not be scared, it’s a common complaint and people get scared. Today we have a goal in mind – to make this beauty a familiar thing to you, so you can get to know how awesome it really is. Let’s start with the design. Of course, there are no radical changes to it, it looks just like you expected a soundbar system to look like.
We see so many similarities with Yamaha-YAS203, although you have to keep in mind, that one is nearly 3 times the price of this one. All that makes this one an affordable option for your home. Just like you probably know, the main use is a home theater movie watching, and it does the job excellent. Place the sound bar under your TV and let the sound blast come to you. In fact, in our analysis, the sound quality was at least up to par with some expensive competitors, or maybe even better.
We’d be lying if we said the surround simulation was extremely good, so if you’re an action movie fan, you might have to look elsewhere. That’s because the specs of Vizio SB3621 offer only 2 speakers in the soundbar. Other soundbars can have 4 or more, making surrounding sound feel alive and real. But don’t look far, as LG SH7B is around the corner. However, that one is an expensive option, and you shouldn’t give up on this baby that easily. In our opinion, this beauty delivered crystal-clear dialogue quality. It will make watching the news, documentaries or some less action-packed movies a pleasure.
The Vizio SB3621 features when it comes to connectivity give a bang for your buck, that’s for sure. You have an optical digital audio input, standard 3.5mm jack analog input or a Bluetooth 4.0 one. You also get a USB port, and you can play WAV files with ease. We’re coming to the bad part. In today’s day and time, most of our TVs and accessories started using HDMI and mini HDMI connectors. This sound bar doesn’t offer that possibility – there’s no HDMI input or output. It’s still entirely possible to play a gaming console or a streaming box, but it requires much more effort on your part.
Now’s the time we talked about the subwoofer that comes in the package. There’s a 5.4-inch wireless subwoofer with the sound bar. To be honest, it’s one of the smallest we’ve seen. But don’t let that discourage you, because of the rear-firing design it possesses, it fares well against the competition. In order to make the sound quality as best as can be, place the subwoofer near the corner. That will help the sound project with more power, and sound bigger and louder. In the end, for the Vizio SB3621 price of $145 you’re getting everything mentioned already. But you will also get a remote to control the music and movie settings, change the source and sound settings in general. To wrap up, for all the needs except a loud, surround action-packed movies, this beauty is all you need.

I was thinking of getting a product like this for a while. It's because TV's speakers just don't cut it, and it was either this or finding a set of cheap PC speakers and connecting them via 3.5mm port. But in the end, I decided to go for this one, just because – they know what they're doing. In our experience, the sound was loud and goes throughout the room in front of the TV. It gives a great experience, although I later heard there are soundbar systems with more than 2 speakers inside, but I didn't notice any flaws in mine. It's still great, and everyone loves it, makes us feel like in cinema for no price at all.
