Everything Specs
The last quarter of 2016 was a great time for low-end and mid-range smartphones. Gionee S9 is released in November 2016 and is a solid mid-range smartphone, but does it justify its price of over $400? We’ll see that soon. Gionee S9 has a nice LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with full HD resolution and 5.5″ size. A fair display for this kind of device. On the other side, a MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset and Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU are a great addition here. Combine that with 4 GB of RAM here, and you’ll get pretty good multitasking experience.
However, GPU is bottlenecking here a little bit, and it’s Mali-T860MP2 GPU, not that capable of gaming. Gionee S9 has a Dual 13 MP + 5MP camera, which could’ve been a little better and record at least 2K videos. Instead, we got a stellar experience with its interface and recorded few good 1080p videos at 30 fps.

I've never heard of Gionee before, and when i bought Gionee S9 i was surprised. I like its sharp 1080p screen and the hardware, as it has an amazing 4 GB of RAM that allowed me to game and surf the internet easily. Now i have it for some time and it still works great.
